Neuropsychological Rehabilitation

Neuropsychological rehabilitation aims to reduce the impact of brain-injury-related difficulties on an individual’s functioning, and enable them to return as fully as possible to valued work, life and family roles.

This may involve a combination of cognitive rehabilitation (providing strategies to manage changes in memory, concentration or other thinking skills), and talking therapies (treating psychological or emotional difficulties such as depression, anxiety, irritability, or changes in personality and behaviour).

It may also include specialist vocational rehabilitation (to support a return to work or education), or family work (to support the relatives and children of someone who has experienced a brain injury).

Neuropsychological rehabilitation is a completely personalised process, focused around achieving the goals that are most important to you.
